All about money and power in businessposted on 19 May 2012 in TechnologyMoney goes hand in hand with power as with the former you can do almost anything that you want to. This is something that I have come to learn from the many motivational messages that I have listened to and from the talks that I have attended. I am particularly fond of the story behind the Virgin Group of Companies. This is a large company that has dominated almost every sector in the service industry. From entertainment to travel and hotels this company has had its mark all over. The virgin company has also ventured into the media industry and it is known for its luxurious recording label and studio company. By calling the virgin media helpline you can get all the facts that you need from this company. Something you should know is that a majority of the celebrities in the entertainment industry have passed through this media company as it has been running for over two decades now. From the money that this company has made it has become one of the most powerful in the service industry. |

The Benefits of Writing Articles On the Netposted on 16 May 2012 in UncategorisedWhen I started to write articles for an online business which was introduced to me by a good friend of mine, I felt really happy. Not only was I given an opportunity to have extra money but more than anything, it gave me a venue to express my thoughts and feelings about all sorts of things. It was also a great way for me to improve my skills in writing which I consider one of my favorite things to do during my spare time. I remember when I was still in school, I was never the type to join conversations in between classes. Instead, I preferred to be seated quietly in a corner with a pen and anything to write on and then I start to write anything I could think of. The only difference now is that I get paid for every work I do. In fact, I had to open my own paypal account about a year ago so that all payments are coursed through that account. I enjoy online writing because it's one of the best ways for me to release my stresses. |

Birds Of A Feather Help One Anotherposted on 16 May 2012 in TechnologyTwo little birds were sitting on a fence. They were having a conversation about life and its meaning. One little bird said that he felt the meaning of life was friendship. We are here to make friends and have a positive influence on their lives. We need to let others know that we care about them. We should let them know we are there if they need us. The other bird asked, &ldquoHow do I tweet someone to let them know I care?&rdquo The first bird let him know that was easy. &ldquoJust open up your beak and let it flow.&rdquo He was informed it was that simple. Then, it was the second bird&rsquos turn to share his view on the meaning of life. He said he felt it was to take care of you and make yourself happy. The first bird said he thought that was a bit selfish. He did not see how that could make you happy at all. The second bird agreed. He had lived by that philosophy for years and was not very happy. He felt the first bird had it right. He was going to try to change his ways and be a better birdie. |

Depeche Mode's Ultra: an Engineering Masterpieceposted on 16 May 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentDepeche Mode have lived up to their image of being uncategorisable misfits - just when you think you can call them an electronic band, they go and release an album full of guitars. Then when you think you're playing it safe and label then as a rock / electronic, they release an ambient album. Depeche Mode are music nerds, first and foremost - they love their music. They're not writing for their record label or for their fans, but it just so happens the fans love their music. I've had a hand in drafting a design for a recording studio, and a particular thing I love about Depeche Mode is their production sound - it's so raw, yet clean. They fuse dirty guitar sounds with pristine digital cleanliness - it defies categorisation other than to say "this is the Depeche Mode sound" - and any band that creates their own sound is one worthy of respect. |

The Flip Flops of Comfortable Livingposted on 12 May 2012 in FashionMy favorite pair of shoes have been with me for 3 years now. They are black, sparkly wedge flip flops that make suction noises when they flop off the bottom of my feet. Why do I still wear them, despite the obvious state of wear they have entered? Well, they match everything, are comfortable, and allow me to show off my cute pedicures. I wear them In the winter and in the rain. I don't care Who stares! There are some marks on the soles from where my dog chewed on them. Needless to say, I found that schnauzer a new home for chewing my favorite pair of shoes. I've contemplated naming them but what kind of name is suitable for such a loyal pair of shoes? Perhaps I could name them after a queen or king. The beautiful sparkles do remind me of a crown or tiara. They've been through a lot so perhaps I should name them after a distressed rock star... Like Kurt Cobain or Janis Joplin. I've worn them in rivers, rinsed cat urine off them, gotten them covered in mud, lost and found them, and even pulled them from the inside of a log that looked like a dead crocodile. Despite all their battle scars, I love these shoes. They're comfortable and full of character. |

We Lost Our Home In A Storm, But Rebuilt It Even Betterposted on 10 May 2012 in Home and GardenA few years back, we had to evacuate our home as a hurricane was forcast. When we returned two months later our home was not the same. It had been filled with water and was not inhabitable. The roof trusses were rotten to the core. Over the next year we were able to rebuild our home - a self build timber frame project. We used this to our advantage and were able to include things that we did not have before. We were able to get a completely updated kitchen, along with beautiful tile floors. But the best thing we did was to add a master bathroom to the house. With three kids, sharing one bathroom was not our ideal situation, and we were able to correct this. We included a separate shower, and a Jacuzzi tub which was something we always wanted. Out of the tragedy that was the hurricane we were able to rebuild even better than before and we watched as many of our neighbors did the same. It was hard at the time, but we are better off because of it. |

On Discovering and Listening to Personal Journals by Sage Francisposted on 10 May 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentI have been listening to rap and hip-hop since the early ‘80s, having cut my teeth on the genre with the likes of The Fat Boys and Run DMC. Later, I moved on to 2 Crew and NWA. Since the days of my youth I have come acquainted with the true underground rappers, folks who are on the underside of the industry: fighting battles, going against the grain, revealing a rich vocabulary and street sense on an entirely different level than their predecessors. My favorite hip-hop album of all time is ‘Personal Journals’ by Sage Francis. On Personal Journals one gets a glimpse into the deep recesses of one of hip-hop’s most original voices. My experience of working in a couple of recording studios in Liverpool gives me an insight into the production value of this platter - and it's second to none. The album is emotionally rich from start to finish, with intense beats and fitting samples throughout which create an evocative atmosphere appropriate to the lyrical content within each track. The themes elaborated and explored on Personal Journals include family relationships, sexual equality, and the tough life which results from a sense of acute alienation from the rest of the culture. Sage Francis deftly weaves through each phase of his existence, showing an intimate look at his own "personal journal" while giving the listener much food for thought while creating a space for reflection. |

A Look Back at Those Crazy Old Daysposted on 3 May 2012 in TechnologyI think it is safe to say that when I was a lot younger, I was crazy in a lot of ways and I did a lot of crazy stuff. It was never harmful, though. I was never the type to harm myself or anyone, thank God. But if there is something that reminds me so much of my younger days, it will have to be my thing for Jericho Rosales. He was my favorite celebrity from high school to college. Now, he is no longer as visible as he used to be in show business but I still get excited when he makes occasional appearances on TV. How crazy was I back then? Well, can you believe that I actually went out of my way to find by phone number his address at one point? Yes, I did that! I actually found his address with the help of my friends who were just as crazy as I was then. There was a time when we actually went to Jericho's place but sadly, we were told that he was out of the country. We were sad but that didn't stop us from posing for some souvenir shots. A House Project That Anyone Would Enjoyposted on 2 May 2012 in Home and GardenAlmost everyone who owns a home wants to add something to it or change it a little. My home is a ranch style house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, and a large garden with one of those modern-looking garden studios in it. One thing that I have always wanted to do is screened in porch. They are a great addition to any home. They look great and feel good to sit in after a long day. I have been to homes that have a screened in porch and you can't beat sitting down out in the summer breeze under the shade, and no bugs are bitting. It isn't a very expensive add on, but it makes your house look bigger and alot more expensive. I have been searching for a good contractor to do my screened in porch just like I want it. If you're going to build it on to your house you need to make sure that it is done right. The apperance is the second most important objective right behind structual integrirty. You want the contractor to match the sideing to your homes. Also the shingles should almost match up. It is hard to get the exact same shingles match but it will be hard to notice. Once it is done you will be so happy you decided to do it you won't want to go back inside. Rain or shine you will be out there in your awesome new room to your house. |

My House, a True Haven for My Family and Friendsposted on 29 April 2012 in Home and GardenI have yet to come across any individual who is not happy with their house, as they say, "home is where the heart is". I've even met people who are happy that they're home is not perfect - because they use their home as a canvas for many of their DIY projects - they get out the paint rollers every weekend and love getting stuck into home improvement. If you're a plumbers merchants or work in any kind of home improvement niche, you'll know what I mean. The house where I live is a smallish apartment with two bath and bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and a good sized closet/store room. There is also a balcony that overlooks the community park, which is a pleasant sight especially in the evenings when I get to see children playing on the swings and busy mothers finally getting the time to play with their little ones. The best thing I love about my house is the large French windows in every room that give it a stylish look and are also functional, keeping the apartment well ventilated and well lighted. Since we recently moved here, all I wish to buy are some nice decorative items to place around the house and give it a more homely and personal look. |

Analysing the viability in using the internetposted on 28 April 2012 in Internet RelatedIs it possible that the world can survive for a day or even forever without internet connection? No one can truly answer that question as there has never been a day that internet connection was lost worldwide from the time that it was set up. However from the standpoint of constant internet connectivity many would say that it would be chaotic if one day there would be no internet and that it would never be back in operation. For this reason there is solid evidence that the internet is indeed viable. Still, there are questions that show the need for more proof on just how worth the internet is. Is it worth is there is little information that is known on things such as windows xp internet connection troubleshooting? Is it worth if there are constant problems that are faced with internet connection? Is it worth is many people still don't know how to use the internet? Such questions make the viability of using the internet less obvious as the list of pros and cons is analysed further. Facebook Friends Should Really Be Your Friendsposted on 24 April 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentTim and Tom had a contest going. They were trying to see who could get the most facebook friends. They did searches to find people who had something in common with them. This could be anything at all. They joined groups and then added everyone in the group to their friends list, even if they did not know them. Neither of them realized there was a facebook friend limit. If they kept adding random people, they would run out of space. Then if they found a real friend, they would have to delete someone just to add them. Tim was currently ahead of Tom. He had about five hundred more friends on his list. However, this brought his total up to fifteen hundred, only five hundred away from the limit. At the current pace, he would reach his limit in a few short months. Tom on the other hand still had a ways to go. Whatever the case, both needed to start adding only people they were really friends with. That was the true purpose of facebook. |

I Built My Dream House At A Hill Stationposted on 19 April 2012 in Construction and IndustrialI always longed to live at hill stations which are cooler than the plains. My husband had worked for a flat roofing company in the past, and had some experience of self-builds. Fortunately my husband got a transfer to a hill station where we built our house. Being born and brought up in plain, I could not bear the cold wind there. So we planned our house accordingly to keep us warm. The house has plywood for walls, all of them double layered with thermacool sheets in the middle. Our house has two entrance one facing north and the other one facing south. But the north front is high above the other one and you have to climb down the stairs to reach the south front. We have access to main roads on both the sides. We have two bedrooms, drawing room, kitchen and dining. I planted few rose plants in a small garden in my house which flowers every summer beautifully. I feel warm and comfortable in my small house. |

On Sensible Ways to Save for a Houseposted on 19 April 2012 in Business and FinanceWith average household debt at record levels, it's no wonder that people are putting off even buying a home, and it's clear that house posessions are going to rise . Yet, I have devised a great way to save for a home. It can be difficult at times as you need to exercise some restraint with spending. My budget revolves around saving at least fifty percent from my weekly wage. Once I have paid any outstanding bills I leave myself at least one hundred dollars for food and entertainment. It is important to document each expense to see if it can be eliminated. You may be able to cut down your entertainment expenses by only going out twice a week as opposed to nearly every night of the week. I would prefer to have a savings account as I want to buy a house. It would mean a lot to me. I never eat out as this can be a huge expense. I take my lunch to work and never buy coffee. As far as I'm concerned that is money down the drain. At weekends I often visit factory outlets to see if there are any bargains and shop at discount supermarkets. I dont buy in bulk as I found out I over consumed when I bought more than two items. Basically I just buy the essentials and sometimes I might treat myself to an outing or a premium brand of clothing. |

I Will Never Understand How People Can Be So Cruel To Othersposted on 17 April 2012 in Arts and EntertainmentI was really angry when i went on to Facebook last night, i saw someone had set up some really racist pages with my name as the administrator, i was very disappointed and thought these groups should not have been put on there but i know that anyone who knows me would know i wouldn't do this.  I am going to email Facebook to see if they can tell me how find the delete Facebook group section and also put on a message to all of my people i am conected with on my account to tell them what someone has done to me.  The fact that someone has pictures of me on the racist groups and also has another password to the one i use worries me as it is obvious that someone is so immature to do such a thing!  Why do some people feel it is clever to do this to someone and are able to sleep at night?  I will never understand how some people think when they do things like this it is just so cruel. |

What a virus can do to your computerposted on 15 April 2012 in TechnologyA virus has been given many definitions but the simplest one is that it is a program or a piece of software that renders the effective operation of a computer impossible. A virus can be evry annoying as it can keep popping up on your screen when you have to concentrate on important documents. To make it worse the people who design viruses always make then in funny characters such as smiley faces that never leave your computer screen. It may be shocking to hear that viruses are actually created intentionally. They just don't pop up from the internet and out of nowhere. The viruses that can attach your computer can come from an infected external storage device or from an attachment. You need to invest in an anti-virus and this you can do by calling the kaspersky help desk for more information. The staff who work on this help desk can give you the latest information on versions of anti-virus as well as how to get them either by paying or by downloading them for free. |

The Best Computer Support Dallas Hasposted on 9 April 2012 in TechnologyWhen my boss came in from a really hectic meeting he was sweating and you could tell from his demeanor that it didn’t go well. I asked him if there was anything that he needed and told me immediately: computer support Dallas. I gather from his rather ambiguous reaction that there was a computer malfunction during his presentation to the shareholders and the code computer support Dallas meant that he wanted me to bring in a computer expert to figure out what had exactly gone wrong. I did my best to find good technical support and asked them to come up to the top floor and meet with my boss. He asked them to check his laptop and they found that someone had put in a virus which caused his hard drive to crash. My boss wanted to find out who had done it so we sent our own tech guys up with footage of the security camera so my boss could review it. |

About Life on the Southern Roadposted on 7 April 2012 in Holiday and TravelWhen I was a young man my family would take road trips all over the south. We would take off in our motorhome to all different kinds of places. Places like Gatlinburg, Tennessee and Washington D.C. Skiing in North Carolina was some of the most fun I've ever had. The shops and candy of Gatlinburg was incredible and nearly everywhere you go has their own unique local dessert or candy. When you take to the open road cramped into an RV much smaller than what you are used to, it feels as if you reach a whole new level of love and feeling of family. You have fun and laugh, but you also deal with problems together as well. Traveling to and exploring places which nobody you know has done or experienced before is incredibly satisfying and the feeling of knowing what you've done and accomplished is an amazing feeling. I will always remember and cherish the memories I have of living out of a RV with my family traveling to fun and interesting places. |

Backyard Fun: a Deck or a Patio?posted on 4 April 2012 in Home and GardenHaving just bought some new pod chairs for my living room to complete the retro look, the next thing that I want to change about my house is that I want to build a deck or patio. We had our house built two years ago. Since then we have not added anything to the back. We don’t even have stairs down from our sliding glass door. I am not sure if I want do a deck, which I’ve heard is better for resale value, or a patio, which I think is prettier. Also a patio seems like it would be less upkeep than a deck, which we would have to stain and weatherproof. I also have not decided whether I want to pay someone to do the work, or if my husband and his father will just do it themselves. I am sure that the quality would be much better if we had it built, but it would also cost probably twice as much. I think we’ll wait another year and then hopefully build one of the two options.
